That’s the latest statistics circulating aroung the news/internet for the past few days now. It seems that the thousands of Beatles/John Lennon fans out there do not want the murderer Mark David Chapman free.

Mark David Chapman is serving a 20 years to life sentence at New York’s Attica Correctional Facility for murdering the pop star outside his Manhattan home in 1980.

He has been rejected for parole four times, and is due to face a board again next week (begs10Aug08).

The 50 letters and more than a thousand name petitions data sa given by the Parole Board. With those numbers only three letters calling for his freedom.

Robert Gangi, from prisoner advocacy group Correction Association of New York, tells the New York Daily News, “I’m surprised given the number of Beatles fans in the world, that he has even three letters.”
